We are looking for an independent individual for our welding shop. Are you tired of working on large filaments and dirty workspaces?? We can provide you with a stable position and pay, and a rewarding job doing the following:
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Reading shop work orders & have knowledge of door components.
- Pulling door & frame material for work orders in warehouse.
- Follow welding diagrams, work orders and frame design layout.
- Setup, operate and maintain welding and cutting equipment.
- Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical positions.
- Grind welds flush and smooth with proper feathering of welded/ground area to flat surfaces.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and record keeping.
- Pack and bundle materials for shipping.
- Trouble shoot and repair any damaged material.
- Work with other departments occasionally to help out.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experienced hollow metal industrury background is perfered.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Approachable.
- Knowledge of building materials.
- Must have an eye for detail and be able to work independently.
- Ability to regularly lift to 70 pounds when required.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- $18.00 to $30.00 an hour
